Family Studio Photography sessions are held at our barn studio in Tackley near Woodstock.
It's good to have an idea of what you would like to achieve before coming to the shoot. Is it a beautiful family photo for a large Canvas in the living room? Perhaps you want to capture the whole family at this important stage for some framed photographs around the house? Maybe it was something you saw in a magazine? Present for grandparents?....
A typical session will last approximately one and a half hours and within this time we encourage you to bring two clothes changes for each person. One smart and one casual; it's really up to you.
Avoid advertising logos such as "Gap" or "Next" as these can date the photo later on. Its best to wear Blacks or whites, or dark colours or completely the opposite with vivid bright colours - really whatever you feel comfortable in. Avoid the washed out though!
You can also bring props to the session. Favourite hats, Boa's, Tutu's, shawl's, umbrellas, national flag..... the garden fork - Teddy, Football, Cricket bat, Dolly. Anything you just can't leave behind and may photograph well but also could add a character or theme to the session.
A family photo shoot is fun relaxed and informal with Darryl or Heather as your photographers.
If by chance you are after something more natural and classic to go with this type of photography, you can also combine a studio shoot with an outdoor natural photo session taken in the beautiful surroundings of the fields overlooking our studio.
Natural Family Photography.
A natural outdoor family session is a timeless way to capture your family in a beautiful or classic environment that will produce stunning works of art that will not date in the many years to come. It really is a timeless snap shot of your family at that particular point.
Weather permitting, an outdoor portrait session can either be held in the beautiful surroundings near our studio, (particularly if you are having studio portraits taken before hand) or for an extra charge the photography can be held at a location of your choice, such as woods, park, country house or your home if suitable.
We encourage you to bring at least 2 clothes changes to reflect what you are trying to achieve. The photography itself usually takes between one and two hours in total and is best photographed in the morning.
The end results are natural and timeless, often producing gorgeous works of art that will hang on your walls or storybooks that can be left on your Coffee table. The pictures from these sessions are so special and capture your family at that special time forever....

The cost of a studio session is just £95.
The cost of a natural session near our studio is £125
A mixed session of studio and natural costs just £150

Seven to fourteen days after the session we will upload your images to our online gallery so you can select; Portfolio Books, Portfolio box of prints or Framed prints and enlargements.
